I am happy to have this build be out, it may be the last for a while, so here are some commemorative Patch Notes
Added:
- Added Corpses!!
- Every enemy spawns a corpse that you can eat (as long as it's not too big) by pressing E
- You can also spit them back out with Q! This can be very useful depending on the situation
- Corpses slowly digest in your stomach, and have a unique effect upon digestion
- The default digestion effect is health regen; as such, the spawn rate of health packs has been dramatically reduced
- Corpses also pop like meat balloons when shot enough!
- Added GTFO Soda - Lets you air dash up to two times
- Added three new melee weapons
- Updated Soda Selection screen
- You can now back out of it b pressing Q
- It displays three options, which you can choose one from for each soda redemption you have
- Added more awesome UI art done by Taylor
- Made unique corpse sprites for all enemy types
- You can press the interact key (E) to flap your mouth up and down
- Added visual polish to levels, replaced indev semi-solid platform sprites
- Added cheat codes, but you'll have to be some goody-goody BOOKWORM to figure them out!!
- Actually added the README this time. Oops...
Fixes:
- Fixed explosions
- Fixed "Infini-death" bug
- Fixed melee animations never playing (very happy about this one)
- Fixed very many crashes
- Fixed Heavy Golem enemies getting stuck in floor
- Made the BFG even MORE accurate to Doom '93 (Thanks Spades!!)
- Hit Stop didn't actually work before and I never noticed. May tone it down in future builds/have a toggle or slider.
Changes that aren't really impressive but are still cool to me:
- Updated multiple enemy AI's to use a better version of their old state machines
- Improved enemy "line of sight" by creating a globally accessible method for it
- Added Ally and Enemy code-flags for cleaner group fights
- Added stats like damage and speed. This will be useful for soda implementation
